About the Role
Air Liquide Laboratories is a key R&D center focused on developing innovative solutions for the Air Liquide group. Located at Innovation Campus Tokyo, it fosters collaboration and gathers international researchers to promote a multicultural work environment. The campus develops advanced technologies in thin film deposition, etching, and strategies for the hydrogen supply chain, aiming to automate and scale the extraction of scientific and technical data from unstructured documents using advanced AI.
Responsibilities
- Solidify data structure choices to enable static batch extraction from diverse formats.
- Leverage the latest AI technologies to automate data extraction.
- Structure extracted data to seamlessly feed end-user applications.
- Build a user-friendly graphical user interface (GUI) for non-data scientists to validate data.
- Create an export tool based on data attributes.
- Assist in developing statistical exploration methods with smart, data-driven sampling and prevent computational bottlenecks.
- Deliver timely and concise updates in internal meetings.
- Join and actively contribute to safety and cybersecurity activities within ALL.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in data mining, automated document extraction, database structuring, and pipeline architecture.
- Proven hands-on experience with Cloud platforms.
- Ability to perform duties as an independent researcher.
- Excellent communication skills to build good relationships with people from various backgrounds in an international organization.
