About the Role
We are a dynamic and rapidly growing startup within the Würth Group, combining experience with a pioneering spirit to research and develop digital knowledge tools using analysis, mathematics, machine learning, and AI to improve existing processes.
Responsibilities
- Research and develop digital knowledge tools through analysis, mathematics, machine learning (ML), and AI to improve existing processes.
- Design and implement solutions for complex analytical problems in various business areas within craft and industry.
- Work in a team of experienced engineers with academic and industrial backgrounds.
- Utilize state-of-the-art infrastructure and tools.
Requirements
- Successfully completed a Master's degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
- Experience with statistical methods, machine learning, and AI.
- Excellent knowledge of how Large Language Models work and how to utilize them efficiently.
- Excellent knowledge of Python and at least 2-3 years of programming experience.
- Knowledge of and experience with cloud technology is an advantage.
- Ability to tackle complex business problems and reduce them to their essentials.
- Understanding that data science is more than modeling and willingness to tackle low-level problems.
- Preparedness to write production code.
- Self-motivated with perseverance.
- Ability to work closely in a team and value constructive discussions and feedback.
- Fluent in English and good German skills.
