About the Role

As Group Fitness Manager at Fitness First, you will lead and inspire a team of instructors to deliver world-class classes, shaping a timetable that offers variety and energy. You will coach and develop instructors, influencing instructor development, class quality, attendance, and member engagement to create an inspiring studio environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and support a high-performing team of Group Fitness Instructors, Reform Instructors, and Arena Coaches
  • Create and optimise timetables to maximise class attendance, member engagement, and business KPIs
  • Recruit, assess, and develop instructors to deliver consistently high-quality classes
  • Oversee administration including payroll, rostering, compliance, and equipment checks
  • Collaborate with club and regional leaders to drive member growth through group fitness
  • Ensure all studios are kept neat, exceptionally clean, and presentable, reflecting the Black Label Membership value proposition
  • Ensure member feedback is managed professionally and service standards are consistently met

Requirements

  • At least 2 years’ experience delivering engaging Group Fitness classes
  • Leadership or team management experience, with the ability to motivate and inspire others
  • Skilled at designing timetables that balance member demand and business goals
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable with admin and compliance tasks
  • Certificate III in Fitness (or equivalent), current AusActive registration, plus First Aid & CPR
  • A team player with professionalism, energy, and a passion for creating unforgettable fitness experiences
  • Reform training (if managing a Reform club) and a current WWCC may be required depending on state
