About the Role
As a Business Partner – People & Culture, you will play a pivotal role in delivering people-first solutions that enable our teams and volunteers to thrive. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll partner closely with leaders and managers to provide expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle—ensuring best practice, compliance, and a human-centred approach. You will influence organisational outcomes by building capability, strengthening culture, and leading through complex people matters, from coaching leaders to navigating employee relations and driving wellbeing programs. You will also lead complex workplace matters including grievances, investigations, and return-to-work cases, while championing positive change and continuous improvement. This role offers the opportunity to create organisation-wide impact by embedding People & Culture strategies that support our people.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance across the full employee lifecycle.
- Ensure best practice, compliance, and a human-centred approach.
- Build capability and strengthen culture.

- Navigate sensitive employee relations issues.
- Drive wellbeing programs.
- Lead complex workplace matters including grievances, investigations, and return-to-work cases.

- Embed People & Culture strategies.
- Provide quality P&C advice and internal consultancy support.
- Coach and upskill managers to effectively manage people issues within their teams.
- Interpret and apply industrial instruments.
- Set priorities, plan and organise own work to manage competing needs.
Requirements
- Contemporary knowledge and expertise in leading workplace investigations.
- Effectively manage grievances.
- Proven knowledge of Modern Awards (in particular SCHADS), Fair Work Act, and National Employment Standards.
- Demonstrated ability in providing advice and recommendations relevant to legislative frameworks across best practice methodology.
- Contemporary approach to stakeholder engagement.
- Strong ability in developing effective and valued relationships with executive leadership, senior leaders and the broader business.
- Experience project planning and implementation including experience in leading processes of workplace change amidst restructures and business transformation activity.
- Ability to assess, evaluate and interpret data to make considered and ethical decisions.
- Ability to clearly describe the rationale behind decisions and recommendations.
- Ability to engage, support, challenge and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to work with internal stakeholders to problem solve providing pragmatic, best practise solutions to emerging people issues.
- Ability to work under general direction from senior employees.
- Ability to work independently and with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to create a collaborative working environment.
