About the Role

The Disability Support Worker role at CPA exists to provide high-quality, person-centered support to people with disabilities. You will play a vital role in empowering clients to live as independently as possible, by helping them to achieve their goals and supporting their day-to-day wellbeing, dignity and quality of life.

Responsibilities

  • Transporting clients from their homes to attend day programs or providing support directly at the centre.
  • Assisting with daily living skills, social engagement, and community participation.
  • Providing personal care (where required).
  • Assisting with manual handling.
  • Providing medication support (if trained).
  • Implementing behaviour support strategies.
  • Providing 1:1 or small group support.
  • Encouraging independence, building skills and confidence.
  • Promoting inclusion.
  • Supporting participant choice.
  • Facilitating activities and outings.
  • Following individual support plans.
  • Documenting progress.
  • Working collaboratively with families and allied health professionals.

Requirements

  • Commitment to person-centred care.
  • Current NSW Driver's Licence (minimum P2).
  • Ability to meet the inherent physical requirements of the role.
  • Willingness to work a rotating roster.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check.
  • Working With Children Check.
  • First Aid & CPR.
  • Applicants must be available to work Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
  • Additional availability on Monday and Tuesday considered a bonus.

  • Attractive hourly rate from $34.59 + Super + Penalty Rates
