About the Role
PayPal is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy applications while building high-concurrency micro-services. This role focuses on creating scalable, maintainable code and collaborating with business partners to support a world-class compliance platform.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy multiple applications with ongoing support and maintenance.
- Build and implement micro-services with high concurrency design and optimization.
- Ensure code is well-commented, maintainable, and reusable across sub-systems.
- Perform thorough testing and unit tests to eliminate bugs.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges related to scalability, latency, and availability.
- Lead feature or sub-system design reviews and code reviews.
- Collaborate with business partners to enable a world-class compliance platform.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field plus two years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
