About the Role

PayPal is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy applications while building high-concurrency micro-services. This role focuses on creating scalable, maintainable code and collaborating with business partners to support a world-class compliance platform.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy multiple applications with ongoing support and maintenance.
• Build and implement micro-services with high concurrency design and optimization.
• Ensure code is well-commented, maintainable, and reusable across sub-systems.
• Perform thorough testing and unit tests to eliminate bugs.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges related to scalability, latency, and availability.
• Lead feature or sub-system design reviews and code reviews.
• Collaborate with business partners to enable a world-class compliance platform.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field plus two years of experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field plus five years of progressively responsible experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
