About the Role

This temporary full-time position (up to 18 months) involves assisting in the organization and development of provincial education events and materials for the Ontario Network of Sexual Assault & Domestic Violence Treatment Centres. The role also supports research initiatives and knowledge transfer activities, contributing to the advancement of healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the organization of provincial education events, including material distribution, speaker booking, participant registration, accommodation, travel arrangements, and catering.
  • Oversee the registration process using an online event system.
  • Assist in the development of event materials such as syllabi and brochures.
  • Assist in the development of educational materials, including PowerPoint presentations.
  • Provide onsite management of events.
  • Revise and update website materials.
  • Distribute education materials.
  • Develop and incorporate social media tools into the website.
  • Participate as a member of the research team in the development and implementation of research initiatives.
  • Aid in the preparation of presentations and manuscripts associated with research.
  • Translate research findings into tools for various audiences.
  • Disseminate research findings and associated tools.
  • Support coordinators by providing requested information.
  • Assist in arranging meetings, conference calls, and webinars.
  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and distribute them.
  • Assist in the development of proposals and summary reports.
  • Identify and integrate safe, best practices into daily activities.

Requirements

  • Applicants must reside and be legally eligible to work in Ontario.
  • Proven attendance record.
  • Professional behavior and communication that meets the standards of the professional regulatory college or association, as applicable, and the standards of Women’s College Hospital.
  • This position plays a critical role in acting as an advocate for safety and will demonstrate principles, practices and processes that will optimize a safe environment for all.
  • Employment is conditional upon the verification of credentials, completion of a health review, and proof of immunity and vaccination status.
  • Successful candidates will be required to complete the Employee, Physician and Volunteer Immunization Record Submission Form and the Pre-Placement Health Review Form prior to commencing employment.
