About the Role
As a primary point of contact for healthcare professionals, you will enhance disease and product awareness and strive to contribute to society for patients. You will build strong relationships with healthcare professionals, be recognized as a partner, and provide inquiry responses, product introductions, proposals, and advice. As an Area Manager, you will manage your assigned territory and identify potential customers and new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Achieve sales targets by developing and executing effective strategies and tactics within your assigned territory as an Area Manager.
- Thoroughly understand market principles in rare diseases and reflect and execute them in specific business plans for target accounts.
- Promote the acceleration of processes in rare disease business, including disease awareness, market development, early diagnosis, and treatment continuation.
- Demonstrate clinical, professional, and scientific knowledge of the pathophysiology of the target disease and the mechanism of action of the products.
- Provide specialized product information and customer service to all accounts.
- Continuously learn and utilize advanced disease and product knowledge, including industry and related knowledge, and GPSP compliance.
- Effectively manage territory within your assigned region as an Area Manager and grow the business.
- Conduct promotional activities and implement treatment area programs based on information provision guidelines within your assigned territory.
- Effectively utilize marketing materials and equipment, including digital content.
- Lead patient-centric partnership models, including physicians, healthcare professionals, patients, and medical facilities.
- Build long-term relationships with accounts by leading account teams, including other departments.
- Verify each plan and activity, and submit sales activity reports accurately and on time.
- Efficiently manage time, CRM, resources, and workload.
- Take initiative and actively interact with company management to improve product and market strategies.
- Effectively build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders by utilizing communication and situational response skills.
- Proactively seek opportunities for growth and self-improvement with clear objectives and direction.
- Comply with internal regulations and ethical compliance.
- Conduct post-marketing surveillance (PMS) activities and collect/provide safety information (quality, efficacy, safety of pharmaceuticals, and other information necessary for proper use) based on relevant laws and regulations by visiting healthcare professionals to contribute to the proper use of pharmaceuticals.
- The assigned disease areas are HPP (Hypophosphatasia) and NF1 (Neurofibromatosis type 1).
- The assigned products are Strensiq® subcutaneous injection (HPP) and Koselgo® capsules (NF1).
- Related medical departments include pediatrics, obstetrics and gynecology, dentistry, endocrinology and metabolism, rheumatology, orthopedics, dermatology, and plastic surgery.
Requirements
- MR certification holder.
- Over 5 years of experience as a Medical Representative in a pharmaceutical company.
- Over 3 years of experience in charge of university hospitals or core hospitals.
- Ability to work autonomously and efficiently in both independent and team environments.
- Ability to build strong, professional relationships with community and academic healthcare providers for ongoing access and scientific information exchange and promotion.
- Willingness to travel, including overnight stays and weekend travel.
- Valid driver's license (excellent driver).
