About the Role

This role is responsible for establishing and promoting a data utilization platform that ensures the quality, integrity, and consistency of data accumulated through commercial activities, thereby supporting data-driven decision-making and continuous business improvement. The role involves organizing data quality requirements, business rules, and utilization requirements for data provided through various channels, and reflecting these in new platform considerations, system design, and operational design through collaboration with IT, while ensuring alignment with global standards.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure and enhance the quality, integrity, and availability of data related to sales activities (CRM, sales, HCP information, etc.).
  • Design, monitor, and promote improvement measures for data quality KPIs.
  • Analyze causes, respond to recovery, and coordinate stakeholders for data ingestion errors and quality issues.
  • Promote standardization, improvement, and implementation of business processes and platforms that support data utilization.
  • Standardize data input/update processes, organize requirements, and propose and execute system improvements.
  • Consider, implement, and promote operational adoption of new platforms for data utilization.
  • Organize business requirements and reflect them in system and operational design in collaboration with IT.
  • Design and promote integration with external data and related systems.
  • Establish and enhance data definitions, metadata management, and data dictionaries.
  • Organize integration requirements with external, vendor-provided, and global data, and promote integration.
  • Promote implementation considering compatibility, consistency, and operability in collaboration with vendors and global stakeholders.
  • Promote the utilization of data assets and establish a utilization platform.
  • Provide data in a usable format for data users and establish a utilization environment that supports decision-making (e.g., data ingestion into data flow, construction of output mechanisms, optimization of provision methods according to usage requirements).
  • Promote the concretization of data utilization requirements in platforms and related systems, considering analysis, visualization, and operation.
  • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and maintain/enhance the operational management system.
  • Continuously improve the control level through maintenance and review of operational procedures and audit responses.
  • Other duties as assigned based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Degree in economics, information technology, data science, statistics, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of practical experience in data governance, master data management, or data quality management within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Experience in operation, standardization, and access management of CRM (Salesforce, Veeva, etc.) and sales/customer-related data.
  • Experience in promoting the establishment and continuous improvement of data quality rules, business rules, metadata, and data dictionaries.
  • Experience in monitoring, reporting, and visualizing issues using data visualization/analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Experience in promoting from requirement definition to operational adoption in collaboration with business departments, IT, global teams, and external vendors.
  • Communication skills to explain, coordinate, and negotiate specialized fields in both Japanese and English.
