About the Role
This role involves owning the core finance function, including forecasting, planning, and reporting, while also partnering directly with founders on critical strategic decisions regarding capital allocation, infrastructure investment, growth balancing, financing strategy, pricing, margins, unit economics, and fundraising.
Responsibilities
- Own financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and board reporting.
- Build models to support company planning and strategic decision-making.
- Partner with engineering and infrastructure teams to forecast infrastructure investment and capacity requirements.
- Own cash forecasting, treasury management, capital planning, and financing strategy.
- Analyze pricing, margins, and business performance.
- Support fundraising, investor relations, and strategic projects.
- Build the systems and processes that will scale with the company.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in strategic finance, FP&A, investment banking, private equity, growth equity, or a high-growth technology company.
- Exceptional financial modeling skills.
- Ability to solve ambiguous, first-principles problems.
- Effective communication with engineers and executives.
- Strong business judgment and a bias toward action.
- Desire to work closely with founders and shape company strategy.
- Understanding of how high-growth companies finance expansion and strategic thinking about capital structure.
- Experience in an infrastructure, cloud, or developer tools company (Bonus).
- Experience with consumption-based businesses (Bonus).
- Experience with fundraising, capital planning, debt facilities, equipment financing, or infrastructure-intensive businesses (Bonus).
- Experience building a finance function from the ground up (Bonus).
