About the Role
The AV Identification Administrator is responsible for verifying, researching, identifying, and matching usage data of Film and Television performances for both Traditional media and Digital platforms using SOCAN’s systems. This role ensures the accuracy of matched data and thorough research to identify AV repertoire, maximizing royalties and accurate payment to members and foreign affiliates in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
- Review and verification of assigned Worksheets of matched and unmatched usage data received for completeness and accuracy
- Identify and link unmatched usage/performances to AV Works (cue sheets) in SOCAN’s databases
- Review and verification of matched usage/performances for accuracy of payment and make necessary corrections of any incorrect matched usage
- Liaising with Queries team, as required, to resolve complex queries from members and/or foreign societies
- Proactively advise Team Lead of any potential efficiency and process improvements
- Other duties, as required
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Computer literacy required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel/Word
- Problem solving and decision making
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to creating a strong team dynamic

- Accuracy and detail oriented
- Knowledge or experience in the Music Industry or Performing Rights is an asset
