About the Role
As a Portfolio Manager III - Mid Market, you will analyze, structure, underwrite, and coordinate the closing of major and complex loans. You will manage loans to ensure credit risks are monitored and identified, and assist in attaining Bank, region, and branch goals by underwriting and closing desirable credits. You will also assure compliance with all Bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulations, and interface with clients to assess credit needs and determine optimal structures.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing, structuring, underwriting, and coordinating the closing of major and complex loans.
- Managing loans to ensure credit risks are responsibly monitored and identified.
- Assisting in attaining established Bank, region, and branch goals through active participation in underwriting and closing desirable credits.
- Assuring compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.
- Interfacing with clients to assess their credit needs and determine the best structure and items needed for analysis.
- Gathering and analyzing necessary information to present a financing request to senior management or Loan Committee for approval.
- Coordinating processing of approved loans to ensure they are processed according to agreement, customer needs, and conform to Bank lending policies.
- Obtaining sufficient information and/or documentation from customers.
- Assisting in solving problems relative to processing and servicing of loans within the Relationship Managers portfolio.
- Reinforcing superior customer service through personal example and appropriate follow-through with customers and employees.
- Handling various other underwriting, portfolio management, and upkeep tasks and responsibilities related to new loan requests and/or the existing Relationship Managers portfolio.
Requirements
- 6+ years of related experience in Portfolio Management or similar field.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- Credit analyst training completed.
Skills
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of general banking operations, including deposit operations, loan administration, treasury management and/or other commercial banking products and services.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of commercial credit and loan structuring, and pricing dynamics.
- Advanced speaking and writing communication skills.
