About the Role

As a Vehicle Delivery Driver, you will play a key role in creating an exceptional car-buying experience by delivering vehicles to customers' homes. You will bridge the gap between online purchase and home delivery, ensuring a seamless and rewarding experience from loading to handing over the keys. Driving a company-owned truck, you will represent CarMax with professionalism, strong communication, and a commitment to safety.

Responsibilities

Operate a two-car hauler to deliver vehicles safely and efficiently.
Load, transport, and unload vehicles at designated locations, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
Facilitate home delivery transactions, including paperwork and customer handoff.
Provide outstanding customer service, interacting with customers and team members professionally.
Perform condition checks and verify vehicles meet CarMax cosmetic standards before delivery.
Conduct daily equipment inspections to maintain safety and operational excellence.
Maintain accurate logs and documentation in compliance with company requirements.

Requirements

21 years of age or older with a valid state-issued driver’s license.
Class B CDL preferred; additional state-specific endorsements may apply.
Clean driving record with no more than 6 penalty points in the last three years.
1+ year of customer service experience.
1+ year of delivery driving experience or CarMax experience.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to operate a manual transmission.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must possess or obtain a DOT Medical Card within 28 days of hire.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Adherence to CarMax policies and safety standards.
