About the Role
The ABS Analyst / Senior Analyst is responsible for publishing and compliance reporting, supporting rating activities in the asset-backed securities (ABS) group in New York. This role is central to managing administrative burdens, ensuring accurate ratings, and developing methodologies. The Analyst also organizes administrative functions and works on new-issue transactions.
Responsibilities
- Gather, clean, and analyze data for ratings, methodology development, and research publication.
- Perform analysis on historical financial data.
- Assist with the preparation of committee memos and public disclosure documents, including quantitative analysis and writing.
- Assist with adherence to procedures and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare compliance reports and company publications.
- Review and apply rating methodologies to transactions.
- Contribute to efforts to automate manual functions.
- Follow, summarize, and share research and presentations from outside market participants.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
- High proficiency in Excel.
- High proficiency in PowerPoint and Word.
- Proficiency in logical, statistical, and quantitative reasoning.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong writing skills.
- Strong presentation skills.
- Strong work ethic, analytical mind, and attention to detail.
- Poised with interpersonal and presentation skills to work with all levels of staff and external contacts.
