About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to perform TIG (GTAW) welding on aerospace components, ensuring adherence to strict safety, quality, and regulatory standards. This role requires strong technical ability, attention to detail, and the capacity to interpret complex instructions for consistent, high-quality welds, offering a stable and rewarding career path in aerospace manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, adjust, and operate TIG (GTAW) welding equipment for aerospace components including castings and sheet metal
  • Perform weld repairs, cosmetic weld build-up, and standard joint configurations in accordance with specifications
  • Complete moderate to advanced fitting and welding tasks using established processes and techniques
  • Follow job operation sheets, weld schedules, drawings, and technical instructions to complete work accurately
  • Perform plug welds and weld repairs on a variety of metals including magnesium, aluminum, stainless steel, Inconel, and mild steel
  • Inspect and verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools
  • Identify and communicate potential quality or process concerns (red flags)
  • Maintain required weld certifications and qualifications
  • Support development work, fixturing, and process improvements as needed
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and customer requirements
  • Maintain accurate documentation and completion of required process records
  • Work independently while collaborating with team members, engineering, and quality personnel
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in alignment with Lean/6S practices
  • Follow all company safety policies and properly handle materials and equipment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of TIG (GTAW) welding experience
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations relevant to welding and fabrication
  • Ability to stand or sit for extended periods throughout the workday
  • Frequent use of hands for precise, repetitive motions and tool operation
  • Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working in an environment with noise, heat, and welding equipment
  • Background check
  • Alcohol and drug screening (includes FAA/DOT compliance for safety-sensitive roles)
