About the Role
RES is seeking a Project Manager III to lead complex restoration projects with full autonomy. This role involves overseeing multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors, navigating regulatory frameworks, and driving high-quality delivery from planning to close-out, with a focus on strategic thinking and boots-on-the-ground impact.
Responsibilities
- Oversee multi-disciplinary teams and subcontractors.
- Navigate regulatory frameworks.
- Drive high-quality project delivery from planning to close-out.
- Manage scope, risk, and timelines using RES’s PM Best Practices.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and monitor progress.
- Report on budget performance and percent complete.
- Communicate with regulators.
- Adjust plans due to unexpected site conditions.
- Present updates to clients.
- Mentor junior staff and help build a stronger, smarter PM team.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in applied sciences, engineering, or construction (or equivalent experience).
- At least 10 years of experience in environmental, restoration, or construction-related fields.
- 6+ years of direct project management experience.
- Advanced knowledge of project management tools and documentation practices.
- Strong background in regulatory processes and permit management.
- Experience managing budgets, subcontractors, schedules, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to manage risk, scope, and client expectations.
- Demonstrated success using PM Best Practices (Charters, Risk Registers, BMPs).
- Ability to mentor junior PMs or lead project teams across departments.
- Familiarity with financial reporting, forecasting, and project margin tracking.
