About the Role
The Sales Engineer will serve as the primary point of contact for customers in their assigned territory, playing a key role in shaping territory strategy. This role involves collaborating with Manufacturing and Quality Engineers in industries like automotive, aerospace, and heavy off-road vehicles, ensuring timely delivery of sales, projects, and services that exceed customer expectations. The Sales Engineer acts as the voice of the customer, working with regional teams, inside sales, and channel partners, focusing on solution-based selling to deliver results and add value.
Responsibilities
- Define, develop, and implement a Performance Optimization Plan for your territory, aligning with company goals and targets.
- Engage in value-added sales interactions, ensuring our products and services meet customer needs and surpass expectations.
- Identify new business opportunities and foster strong relationships with existing clients.
- Provide expert technical support and best-practice recommendations for product usage.
- Achieve and exceed sales targets, driving growth across the assigned territory.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, embracing company core values, reporting structure, and communication protocols.
Requirements
- Experience in sales presentations and new business development.
- Skills in relationship building and customer service.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record in sales and meeting sales targets.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sales and Sales Operations skills.
- Experience in territory sales or related field.
- Ability to travel by car or plane up to 50-70% of the time.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Experienced with CRMs.
- Previous experience in industrial equipment sales is recommended.
