About the Role

Intelex is seeking a Training Specialist to develop and deliver technical software training to clients, both online and onsite. This role involves educating clients on best practices for administration and use of Intelex solutions, collaborating with technical teams to create documentation, and ensuring training aligns with project timelines. The ideal candidate is driven, relationship-oriented, and focused on client success.

Responsibilities

  • Works with the Intelex Project Team to identify the Technical Configuration of applications purchased by customers through the review and understanding of the Application Design Documentation, User Stories and Configuration Workbooks.
  • Works with Intelex Customers to best understand their level of understanding of the Intelex Application prior to delivering training, thus determining the appropriate channels for training delivery.
  • Delivers customized training documentation on Intelex/Customer Application Specific training and standard Platform out of the box training.
  • Develops customized training material based on best-practice use of Intelex functionality and administration of application modules using Out of the Box training documentation.
  • Responsible for researching, developing, preparing and facilitating onsite and online training.
  • Analyzes and interprets user requirements, technical specifications and application features and functions and translate into appropriate training formats.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert and continually seeks opportunities to update product knowledge capabilities.
  • Adapts product capabilities to meet specific client business needs where necessary.
  • Travel to client locations within Canada, the U.S and occasional international travel required. Expected travel – 20 - 30%.
  • Responsible for achieving a weekly utilization target that is balanced with Customer work and internal initiatives.
  • Prior experience working in an environment where time management and tracking is required. Ability to ensure timely submission of time and expense reports.

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain the required knowledge of Intelex’s technical applications in order to deliver standard out of the box Platform training and customized Application training.
  • Applies instructional development, and adult learning principles to develop training material and facilitation.
  • Creates and maintains courseware material and maintains an updated inventory of training material in Sharepoint.
  • Prepares client training sites and databases for training courses by ensuring that the site is populated with test data or test users.
  • Maintains program content with periodic updates and revisions to ensure materials are current and continue to deliver desired results.
  • Demonstrated software/technology passion and aptitude is considered an asset.
  • Experience in learning Software applications and developing customized training both onsite and online.
  • A solid understanding of adult learning principles, potential roadblocks to learning, instructional development and associated solutions.
  • Ability to understand and adapt to various audiences within the Organization (diverse individuals, groups, and levels of expertise).
  • Logical problem-solving approach, ability to clearly communicate business problems and proposed solutions to the client.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to facilitate in front of groups of various sizes.
  • Agility to learn and apply new business/technical concepts effectively and efficiently.
  • Experience building internal and external relationships and mitigating past difficult personalities or situations.
  • Self-motivated to develop and maintain skill-set and product knowledge.
  • Professional self-starter, strong attention to detail, able to work independently and apply effective time-management skills and accountability.
  • Collaborative across departments and industries.
  • An understanding of relational database management systems is an asset.
  • Understanding of Environmental, Health, Safety or Quality considered an asset.
  • Requires a satisfactory Criminal Background Check and Public Safety Verification.
