About the Role
JD Sports is seeking a Store Manager for its CF Masonville Place Location. The ideal candidate will have an upbeat attitude and a passion for sporting apparel and footwear. This role is responsible for driving sales, maintaining visual standards, and coaching a team to deliver exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Motivate sales team to exceed sales targets on a weekly/month basis.
- Consistently look for ways to improve in-store strategies while maintaining company standards.
- Develop a community culture through strong customer rapport and exceptional customer service.
- Set weekly schedules and delegate tasks on a daily basis.
- Increase store sales through effective inventory management, merchandising, and seeking growth opportunities.
- Train, manage and oversee end-to-end daily e-commerce sales in-store, including processing, picking, packing, and shipping orders.
- Decrease store shrinkage by researching inventory discrepancies and problem-solving.
- Manage weekly bank deposits and store expenses.
- Build a talent pipeline to develop top talent into leaders.
- Stay up to date with new releases and upcoming products and ensure the team is informed.
- Work with the HR team to ensure all store positions are filled.
- Train all new or newly promoted staff on their role and responsibilities.
- Submit biweekly payroll for the store's team.
- Ensure the visual presentation meets the standards set by the Merchandise team.
- Host local events and initiatives while ensuring company standards are met.
Requirements
- 5+ years of retail management experience.
- Strong background in leadership and building teams.
- Comfortable and confident in making business-critical decisions.
- Must be a fashion, sportswear or footwear enthusiast.
- Must be able to multitask & manage time independently.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in data analysis and building Excel reports.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proactive and goal-oriented individual.
- Strong proficiency in IOS based programs and products.
- Strong proficiency in Excel & other MS Office programs.
