About the Role

Responsibilities

  • Advocate for Mace's value of safety first, leading and maintaining exceptional safety, quality, cost, programme, sustainability, and project compliance standards.
  • Possess technical expertise in local health and safety rules and regulations relevant to the project portfolio.
  • Champion a diverse and inclusive working environment and understand the importance of the wellbeing of managed individuals.
  • Work as part of the senior construction delivery team, providing guidance to the wider team.
  • Build relationships to manage and influence senior stakeholders, both internally and externally.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients and support the construction lead in turning the client’s vision into a deliverable onsite plan.
  • Ensure budgets and other operations are fiscally and ethically viable and meet organizational and legislative compliance obligations.
  • Support the senior construction delivery team in influencing the long-term development of strategy for a function or business unit, creating a sustainable business future.
  • Commit to making a positive impact for people, clients, and the planet, and hold others accountable to Mace values.
  • Support Managers and other junior members of the project team, providing an environment to share knowledge and experience.
  • Actively network, innovate, and seek understanding of best practice, utilizing Mace group resources.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to delivery teams, creating a culture of ownership and promoting roles and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Membership of MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
  • Experience in the successful delivery phase of projects and programmes in the Mobility sector.
  • Construction management expertise.
  • Developing commercial and financial acumen.
  • Experience leading parts of construction projects within large, diverse teams.
  • Experience of building relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of projects.
