About the Role

We’re looking for a highly capable builder and problem-solver to join our team and work on high-impact operational and technical initiatives across the company. In this role, you’ll contribute to front-end JavaScript development, automation systems, security infrastructure, and internal tooling that directly improve how the company operates and scales.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain front-end integrations across our JavaScript-based websites and applications
  • Design and implement automations that improve workflows across product, sales, marketing, operations, finance, and customer support
  • Optimize and expand Acorn’s existing automation systems and integrations
  • Identify bottlenecks and develop scalable internal solutions that save time and improve efficiency
  • Provide occasional technical support for software, systems, and hardware-related issues
  • Improve backup infrastructure and restoration reliability
  • Deploy endpoint management and remote monitoring solutions
  • Help define and enforce security policies across devices, networks, and internal platforms
  • Support implementation of endpoint detection & response (EDR), email filtering, SSO, and password management systems
  • Improve access controls and organization-wide 2FA implementation
  • Contribute to internal security education and operational best practices
  • Audit software tools, subscriptions, and operational systems to reduce unnecessary spend
  • Monitor system usage and identify opportunities for optimization and consolidation
  • Assist with vendor and account management across platforms such as Apple, Google, and Lenovo
  • Improve onboarding and offboarding systems for employees, partners, and patients
  • Standardize device provisioning and deployment workflows using pre-configured setups
  • Help maintain internal documentation and build scalable knowledge management systems

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in JavaScript development
  • 1+ year of experience working with automations, integrations, or workflow systems
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical problem-solving skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies, tools, and systems
  • Organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and highly self-motivated
  • Based in or near Toronto, Montreal, or Los Angeles
  • Legally able to work in either Canada or the US
