About the Role

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a Billing Officer to join their Revenue Cycle Management Team. This role supports a culture of continuous improvement within the billing function and requires a positive, flexible team player with previous billing experience in a UK private hospital environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and maintain an efficient billing service in line with billing agreements and department targets.
  • Perform billing reviews, claim submission, and deal with account queries.
  • Review unbilled accounts and produce/submit invoices for hospital charges and consultant fees.
  • Investigate and resolve account queries with embassies, patients, private medical insurance companies, and other third-party payers.
  • Handle account adjustments and refunds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum GCSE/High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous billing experience within a UK private hospital environment.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Excel and Word.
  • Proven knowledge and awareness of current legal confidentiality legislation.
  • Experience with UK private hospital billing systems and Healthcode is preferred.
