About the Role
The Production Supervisor will ensure production activities are completed safely, timely, and efficiently for the Mill. This role takes a lead in guiding production crews, conducting root cause analysis, and collaborating with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to enhance throughput, reduce costs, improve efficiency and quality, and minimize waste.
Responsibilities
- Plan, supervise, and ensure execution of all plant production activities.
- Fully support location health, safety, environmental, and quality programs.
- Coach employees and hold them accountable for meeting requirements.
- Recognize and celebrate employee efforts and successes.
- Ensure incident investigation and root-cause analysis are conducted promptly.
- Complete incident reports immediately and address action items in a timely manner.
- Review accident sites and meet with involved personnel.
- Lead efforts in fostering a team environment within the production staff.
- Ensure timely collection of production data to monitor equipment efficiency.
- Effectively communicate expectations and provide performance feedback on safety, quality, and delivery.
- Manage the production schedule and organize resources to meet customer needs.
- Partner with site Maintenance to proactively improve up-time and reduce repairs.
- Liaise with Packaging & Shipping to ensure on-time product shipment.
- Provide front-line process technical expertise and hands-on assistance for continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate policies, and that operators are well-trained.
- Communicate with Customer Service regarding demand and production-impacting issues.
- Establish, implement, and communicate KPIs to drive activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
