About the Role

Drive the continuous improvement and growth of the Design Engineering function in Germany, leading both pre-sales and post-sales engineering activities. Collaborate with global and regional teams to enhance efficiencies, quality, scalability, lead times, and margins.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement and growth of the German engineering function in fire suppression, fire detection & security.
  • Work closely with installation and sales leaders to identify pre- and post-sales engineering needs.
  • Support communication and awareness of capabilities and outcomes within pre- and post-sales engineering.
  • Enable enterprise-wide support by expanding the utilization of the GCoE global engineering team.
  • Improve efficiency by harmonizing engineering standards and processes into a regional/global model.
  • Leverage GCoE processes in pre- and post-sales engineering to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Identify quick wins and support both short-term and long-term strategies.
  • Ensure pre- and post-sales engineering teams are prepared to proactively support new products and innovations.
  • Standardize and simplify processes across all pre & post-sales application engineers within the region.

Requirements

  • University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Alternatively, a Meister qualification or comparable certification combined with relevant professional experience.
  • Extensive experience in operations, engineering, sales or a related discipline supporting a successful engineering team within a large global organization.
  • Strong understanding of pre- and post-sales engineering practices, with a process-driven mindset.
  • Ability to drive consistency in complex global environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of the fire & security industry.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization and drive results across functions.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with execution excellence.
