About the Role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will leverage extensive project and change management skills to deliver complex, high-risk changes across people, process, and technology. You will manage projects from proposal to full delivery, ensuring strategic outcomes are achieved on time, within budget, and with high quality, while operating within the organization's risk appetite.
Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, scheduling, controlling, and reporting for strategic, high-impact, high-risk projects.
- Collaborate with sponsors, finance, the PMO, and stakeholders to develop, approve, and monitor business cases.
- Take swift action when costs, benefits, or risks exceed agreed tolerances.
- Manage projects end-to-end, ensuring clear scope, good governance, and delivery on time, to budget, and to quality.
- Bring together cross-functional teams, proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Maintain strong oversight of costs and resources.
- Provide clear and accurate reporting on progress and performance.
- Drive continuous improvement and support the development of junior team members.
Requirements
- Demonstrable experience delivering complex, high-risk projects across people, process, and technology.
- Extensive experience applying project management disciplines pragmatically and flexibly, including detailed project planning, risk and issue management, and maintaining business cases.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional project teams.
- Demonstrable experience effectively managing third-party suppliers and delivery partners to ensure contractual performance, quality outcomes, and value for money.
- Strong communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders, secure decisions, and present complex information clearly and simply.
- Experience managing multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities.
- A recognized project management qualification such as PRINCE2, MSP, Agile PM, APM, or equivalent, alongside practical experience applying these frameworks.
