Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of the content strategy for ShareTheMeal (STM) to support business growth.
- Develop the vision, objectives, and overall goals for the content strategy to support STM's growth and achieve business objectives.
- Develop strategy for fundraising campaigns and manage the pipeline, including launch and communications for emergency campaigns.
- Drive the execution of the strategy, setting yearly and quarterly goals and KPIs, and monitoring, presenting, and owning results from content decisions.
- Manage the documentation process for the creation of new and ongoing content, including guidelines, standards, tone, and voice.
- Coordinate collaboration between the Content and UX/Product teams on new features and epics related to the content strategy, including user research and testing.
- Work with the Business Intelligence team to derive data insights for business decisions, such as campaign goals.
- Lead planning and cross-collaboration on marketing themes and objectives.
- Manage all content sourcing by liaising with Regional Bureaux, Country Offices, and HQ, and implement new sourcing strategies with the PSP Content Hub.
- Manage content production, including agile prioritization and planning.
- Ensure content meets the requirements of WFP’s content strategy and brand book, as well as STM’s brand and tone of voice.
- Coordinate and ensure excellence in localization for the existing portfolio of 14 languages.
- Manage workflows across all channels, including social media, emails, push notifications, web, and in-app.
- Manage the video production pipeline and oversee video creation for paid and organic channels, as well as product.
- Lead high-performing teams (copywriting, CRM, localization, motion design) to create and implement strategic initiatives.
- Mentor and coach direct reports and their reports to ensure sustained and continuously improved team performance.
- Ensure ways of working and team processes optimize for high-impact output, balancing agility with established external structures.
- Instill a culture of customer centricity and experimentation based on data and insights.
- Stay abreast of sector trends in major donor fundraising content and bring relevant learning to the team.
- Work with existing global systems, policies, and processes to deliver objectives in a compliant, collaborative, and efficient manner.
- Perform any other tasks commensurate with the level of experience required to support the Content team and PSP.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree; Master's degree is preferred.
- At least 7 to 8 years of relevant experience in content and project management, preferably in marketing, journalism, or communications.
- Familiarity with the workings of WFP internally across regions and country offices, including Friends organizations.
- Experience scaling content operations across multiple geographies and associated languages and local considerations.
- Mature judgment with strong interpersonal skills for direct and indirect management and mentoring of team members.
- Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
- Experience with tools like Figma, Miro, JIRA, Confluence, Contentful is a major plus.
- Collaborative spirit able to liaise with a wide range of people at all levels and across different cultures, acting with credibility and diplomacy.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to plan ahead, anticipate requirements, problems, and obstacles, juggle competing priorities successfully, and work to tight deadlines.
- Self-motivated and able to work with a high degree of autonomy.
- Fully committed and motivated to achieve the aims of the World Food Programme.
- Data-driven approach to decision-making with experience in A/B testing and iterative innovation.
