About the Role

The Syntax Institute is a rapidly growing EdTech company from Berlin, founded by successful entrepreneurs. Our mission is to practically qualify people for in-demand professions in the tech industry and successfully integrate them into the job market. We offer practical further training in software development, IT administration, cloud & IT security, artificial intelligence, and project management. We also offer retraining in IT specialization throughout Germany at various locations. We teach current technologies, modern work methods, and the skills that companies actually need today.

Responsibilities

  • Build a nationwide network of company partners for our retraining internships from scratch – independently, structured, and with a real focus on completion.
  • Research which companies in a target region are suitable as internship partners for our aspiring IT specialists and evaluate them by industry and suitability, prioritizing your outreach.
  • Proactively approach decision-makers, clearly explain our retraining model, and bring discussions to a successful conclusion.
  • Build and maintain a strong partner pipeline by location, managed in the CRM, which will be used directly for the admission of new locations.
  • Conduct market research and qualification: Research companies in the target region suitable as internship partners and evaluate them by industry, size, and suitability (e.g., possession of a training license/AEVO).
  • Initiate first contact and outreach: Independently prioritize outreach based on company qualification. Proactively approach contacts by phone (cold calling). Simultaneously communicate via email or LinkedIn: clearly, purposefully, and professionally.
  • Provide briefings: Clearly explain the retraining model, who the participants are, how an internship works, and why a partnership makes sense for both sides.
  • Close partnerships: Bring discussions to a conclusion and win companies as internship partners. Depending on IHK requirements, this may involve inclusion in our partner network or obtaining a short, digital letter of intent.
  • Maintain data and report: Maintain contacts and results in the CRM, develop a strong partner pipeline by location, and provide regular feedback on what works and what doesn't.

Requirements

  • Ideally, possess initial work experience in sales, promotion, call center, business development, or a comparable role.
  • Basic affinity for the tech industry and IT job profiles is advantageous.
  • Initial experience in a start-up or dynamic environment is a plus.
  • Proactively approach new contacts and win them over for our retraining model with the right arguments.
  • Remain friendly, stay focused on the goal, and persist even with slight resistance.
  • Speak and write excellent German (C2).
  • Take responsibility for your topics and drive them forward independently.
  • Do not lose sight of goals in a dynamic environment and stay persistent.
  • Goal-oriented and structured work is important.
