About the Role
Operate Manufacturing and testing equipment for all SSM products. Provide manufacturing labor, testing, evaluation and documentation for production and ancillary support for the manufacturing of SSM products.
Responsibilities
- Perform charge make-up, melting (VIM), stripping, weighing, cutting and welding to produce electrodes for re-melting (VAR).
- Perform (VAR) (ESR) melting, including setup and operation.
- Perform rolling operations, including setup according to procedures, to generate roll downs for testing.
- Read, understand, and follow procedures.
- Maintain production records and enter data into electronic files.
- Perform routine equipment maintenance, including minor repairs and modifications.
- Perform redraw, wire drawing, cleaning, and annealing processes.
- Prepare, inspect, and pack product for shipment.
- Receive, identify, sort, document, store, and distribute various material samples for testing.
- Safely handle hazardous materials and wastes according to production processes.
- Work safely and follow all safety procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Initial and annual hazardous waste training is required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
