About the Role
As a Paid Media Manager, you will drive performance across paid media accounts through strategic optimization, data-led decision making, automation, and cross-channel collaboration. You will lead bidding and creative strategies, deliver actionable insights, support advanced measurement initiatives, and identify opportunities for innovation and commercial growth. You will manage multiple priorities, build strong stakeholder relationships, and support the development of junior team members, leveraging emerging AI tools and platform technologies.
Responsibilities
- Own the daily performance and technical sophistication of your client portfolio.
- Independently manage and troubleshoot bidding strategies to hit agreed KPIs.
- Implement complex portfolio bidding and leverage CroudOS automation tools.
- Maintain 'Best in Class' account hygiene.
- Stay ahead of technical platform shifts, extract maximum value from platform tools, and define proactive maintenance.
- Identify manual, repetitive tasks and proactively implement automated solutions.
- Brief creative assets for campaigns.
- Use data to suggest high-impact creative pivots and lead the ongoing creative testing roadmap.
- Transform raw data into actionable insights that actively change the direction of an account.
- Track business KPIs.
- Explain the impact of privacy changes to clients.
- Implement and report on simple lift/AB tests and incrementality tests.
- Help clients buy into advanced measurement models.
- Build, audit, and execute 90-day roadmaps aligned with client business goals.
- Help lead and support Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
- Help build integrated Search and Social Media plans.
- Coordinate cross-channel budgets and contribute to internal cross-channel syncs.
- Build business cases/case studies showing clear commercial benefits of new initiatives.
- Help curate external and joint case studies.
- Optimise client investments and help surface potential cross-sell opportunities.
- Keep your team updated on platform betas and trends.
- Independently test new features and drive adoption of new channel tactics.
- Confidently manage multiple deadlines across various accounts.
- Protect 'deep-work' time through effective calendar management and coach others on time-blocking.
- Mentor junior team members on core technical tasks.
- Provide constructive, actionable feedback on junior team members' work.
- Run team training sessions on core platform topics.
- Write and speak about complex systems and the chosen paid media approach.
- Overcome presentation challenges and persuade clients and colleagues to align with your approach.
- Construct responses to clients’ queries and requests in a timely and effective manner.
- Stay up to date with emerging AI technologies and leverage AI tools to streamline workflows and enhance management efficiency.
Requirements
- Degree-level education or equivalent/relevant work experience.
- Native speaker of Japanese or Korean.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Paid Search, specifically across Search Engines (Google, Microsoft etc.).
- Experience and knowledge of local Search Engines (Yahoo! Japan, Naver, Kakao etc.) would be an advantage.
- Strong Microsoft Office/Google Workspace skills which must include Excel/Google Sheets, Word/Google Docs and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
- Proven track record of working to and meeting deadlines and able to deliver under pressure.
- Proven time management skills, strong project management skills, experience and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proven ability to think critically and creatively, with an impeccable attention to detail.
- Proactive approach to ways of working and problem solving, with the confidence to question the norm.
- Strong communication & presentation skills.
- Thrives working in a team setting.
- Mathematically minded and comfortable working with large numbers.
