About the Role

As part of the Food Manufacturing Sales Team, the Key Account Manager – Food Manufacturing will focus on a range of Food Manufacturing customers across the Food & Beverage market. In this role, you will handle critical and complex products and solutions that require excellent customer relationship skills to maintain competitive positioning and ensure trust to continue to help grow both the customer and Cargill. Working with internal cross-functional teams, you will lead customer engagement from opportunity identification through to contract execution and ongoing performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop growth plans and strategies to establish and maintain current and new account relationships with profitable business solutions.
  • Build and execute business plans for each account developing strong customer relationships and profitable growth.
  • Protect, grow and diversify the relationship with targeted customers, with existing and new product solutions.
  • Review and report on customer and competitor activity, business opportunities and market trends.
  • Maintain robust CRM hygiene (pipeline, meeting notes).
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Requirements

  • 5-8 years Account Management within Food & Beverage Ingredients market
  • Proven success managing Key Accounts
  • Strong negotiation across pricing, trade terms, and tender processes.
  • Tools: Excel/Sheets, CRM (e.g., Salesforce); comfortable with data and JBP decks.
  • Full driver’s license; ability to travel across ANZ.
  • Experience developing and structuring complex sales proposals that represent maximum value to customer and business.
  • Independent and works well with minimum supervision
  • Strong customer focus and personal relationship skills
  • Strong attention to detail and hands on approach
  • Strong integrity and moral principles that are aligned with Cargill’s Guiding Principles; consistently does what one says one will do
  • Strong processing, spreadsheet, presentation, database and office productivity computer applications with analytical and mathematical skills
  • Background in food ingredient sales
