About the Role

Nuix is seeking a Documentation Manager in Sydney to lead the technical documentation function. This leadership role involves owning the documentation strategy, setting editorial standards, and ensuring customer and partner success with the Nuix Platform. The position requires scoping and delivering documentation projects, and translating complex technical concepts into clear content.

Responsibilities

• Research, outline, write, and edit new and existing documentation with minimal supervision, setting the bar for quality across the team.
• Independently gather information from subject matter experts across engineering and products to ensure technical accuracy and completeness.
• Own documentation projects end-to-end — scope, schedule, and delivery — and provide regular status updates to senior management.
• Define, maintain, and evolve department guidelines and editorial standards to ensure consistency and quality across all documentation.
• Mentor writers, review their work, and continuously improve documentation processes, tooling, and workflows.
• Undertake other duties as assigned to support the documentation function and broader organization.

Requirements

• Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accurate documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to editorial quality.
• Experience defining and maintaining editorial standards, style guides, and documentation processes.
• Proven ability to lead documentation projects end-to-end and mentor or review the work of other writers.
• Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects against deadlines.
• Familiarity with modern documentation tools, authoring frameworks, and content management workflows.
