About the Role
We are seeking a Postproduction Coordinator / Editor to join our team in Berlin. This role involves coordinating post-production workflows, leading a team, assisting with editing tasks, and managing technical inventory and data. You will also contribute to workflow optimization, personnel planning, and recruitment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate all post-production workflows for projects.
- Lead, brief, and coordinate a team of editors, media designers, and interns, providing support with issues.
- Prepare editing tasks, work alongside, and support implementation, e.g., with material import, conforming for grading, file exports, and master creation.
- Edit individual episodes for various formats.
- Edit image, video, and sound.
- Occasionally implement smaller shoots in camera, lighting, and sound.
- Monitor internal technical inventory.
- Optimize workflows and personnel planning.
- Ensure efficient data management.
- Participate in recruiting potential applicants.
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as a media designer or a completed degree in film/editing.
- Previous professional experience in post-production.
- Ability to lead a team and act as a point of contact for colleagues.
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci, Photoshop (and possibly After Effects, Avid, and Final Cut).
- Knowledge in the technical implementation of smaller shoots (camera/sound/lighting).
- Active on social media with expertise in platforms (YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram).
- Desire to produce videos for a young target audience.
- Reliable, team-oriented, and able to maintain an overview.
- Convincing self-organization and time management skills to meet deadlines independently and on time.
- Technically adept.
- Interest in the use and integration of AI.
- Possess a network of freelancers.
