About the Role
Valmet is seeking a Maintenance Scheduler to manage five weekly and annual shutdowns, ensuring timely completion of maintenance activities, coordination of resources, and on-site supervision for safe and efficient execution.
Responsibilities
- Manage the five-weekly and annual shutdown schedules, ensuring all maintenance activities are completed within agreed timeframes
- Coordinate tasks, resources (internal and external), and timelines to support effective shutdown execution
- Provide on-site supervision during shutdowns, ensuring activities are completed safely and efficiently
- Evaluate shutdown performance and prepare detailed reports
- Monitor and follow up on failure notifications, creating work orders within your area of responsibility
- Review troubleshooting activities and corrective actions to improve equipment reliability
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in maintenance planning and scheduling
- Support long-term maintenance planning activities
- Act as backup for the Workshop Services Coordinator when required
- Participate in the mill standby system, including availability outside standard working hours for additional supervision
Requirements
- Diverse electrical or mechanical maintenance background highly preferred
- Several years’ experience in process maintenance scheduling or maintenance supervision
- Strong experience with MS Project (or equivalent) and Microsoft Office
- Sound knowledge of SAP PM / CMM systems
- Heavy industry experience or familiarity with the papermaking process (desirable)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capability
- Effective prioritisation and decision-making skills
