About the Role

Our 12-month Perioperative New Graduate Nurse Program offers a supportive environment for transitioning from student to confident Perioperative Registered Nurse. It provides hands-on learning across Scrub/Scout, PACU, and Anaesthetics, fostering professional growth within a collaborative team. You will play a key role in delivering safe, patient-centered care throughout the surgical journey, developing essential clinical knowledge, technical skills, and confidence. Mentored by experienced professionals, you will contribute to positive patient outcomes while upholding high standards of safety and care.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, patient-centred care throughout the surgical journey.
  • Develop clinical knowledge, technical skills, and confidence for pre-, during, and post-surgical procedures.
  • Contribute to positive patient outcomes.
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety and care.
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Learn the importance of communication, compassion, and precision in providing holistic care.

Requirements

  • Eligible for registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA, including meeting English language requirements.
  • Australian Citizenship or valid working rights permitting full-time employment in Australia without regional restrictions.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Collaborative and patient-centred approach to care.
  • Sound clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the perioperative environment.
  • Past experience in the perioperative environment through studies, placement, or previous employment.
  • Completion of a Bachelor of Nursing within 12 months of the program commencement date.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Maintain professional, ethical, and legal healthcare standards.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment checks and assessments.
