About the Role
Responsible for timely delivery of products and materials to job sites, including loading and unloading trucks and supervising laborers as needed.
Responsibilities
- Drive trucks safely and timely from facility to designated job sites.
- Load and unload building materials from trucks and carry materials onto job sites.
- Maintain mileage logs as necessary.
- Operate forklifts periodically.
- Use personal protective equipment as required.
- Ensure care and maintenance of assigned vehicle.
- Operate designated crane/boom or moffett safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Immediately notify branch management of any unsafe loading conditions.
- Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Ability to follow directions from dispatcher/branch management.
- Ability to convey directions and work effectively with a partner.
- Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Maintain a clean driving history record.
- Participate in mandatory federally regulated DOT programs.
- Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
- Frequently lift and carry objects, including overhead lifting (50 to 150 pounds).
- Dexterity to manipulate and utilize equipment.
- Obtain visual acuity.
- Ability to work in environmental surroundings including dust and varying temperatures.
