About the Role
The International Climate Finance Intern will support NRDC's International Climate Team in analyzing and advocating for scaling up clean electricity finance at Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs) and overall international climate finance to meet 2035 international climate finance targets. This 10-week summer internship opportunity is exclusively for graduate students from Fordham's IPED program.
Responsibilities
- Support analysis and advocacy for scaling clean electricity finance at Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs).
- Support analysis and advocacy for scaling overall international climate finance to meet 2035 targets.
- Analyze historic MDB finance for renewable electricity, transmission and distribution systems, energy storage, and energy efficiency.
- Develop benchmarks for MDB clean electricity growth by 2030, considering international climate finance commitments and global clean electricity goals.
- Track multi-year climate finance commitments for the Climate Finance Commitments Tracker.
- Build detailed assessments on climate finance growth to meet 2030 overall climate finance goals and 2035 adaptation finance goals.
Requirements
- Currently a graduate student from Fordham's IPED program.
