About the Role
This position is responsible for cleaning the interior and exterior of train equipment in accordance with HTSI and Capital Metro's Standards and guidelines and cleaning of facility office space.
Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning assignments for train cars in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
- Vacuum, mop, dust, sweep, wash walls and windows.
- Use chemical cleaners, equipment, and material in accordance with regulatory agencies and HAZCOM guidelines and procedures.
- Maintain proper care and use of materials, equipment, machines, and hand tools.
- Engage, participate, and promote Herzog’s Culture and its essential behaviors.
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Ability to read, write and communicate proficiently.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning requirements.
- Ability to use cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans and operate toilet servicing equipment.
- Subject to pre-employment background check and motor vehicle report review.
- Subject to pre-employment physical, medical evaluation, and drug screen.
- Successfully complete and maintain any required safety certification and testing on an annual basis.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces.
- Ability to regularly lift weight up to 20 pounds to waist height.
- Ability to work in a confined access/space environment with a width of 24 inches.
- Ability to adapt to various temperature extremes including heat, cold, moisture, and wind.
- Ability to tolerate repetitive movements: bending and overhead reaching.
- Ability to regularly ascend/descend a platform with a height of up to 12 inches from the floor.
- Ability to occasionally ascend/descend a ladder.
- Ability to regularly ascend/descend stairs.
- Ability to frequently bend, crouch, stand, and sit for extended time.
- Ability to be aware of surroundings and follow verbal commands while exposed to moderately loud noises daily.
- Ability to tolerate daily exposure to various chemical cleaners.
- Ability to successfully pass color/vision examinations.
- Ability to hear and distinguish auditory signals.
