About the Role

Alpha Financial Markets Consulting (Alpha) is a leading global consultancy to the financial services industry, providing specialist strategy, management consulting, and technology expertise. Responsibilities

  • Take a leading role in reshaping and redefining the industry through projects in growth strategy, capability assessment and roadmapping, business process transformation, and technology enablement.
  • Lead a workstream within a larger program or drive projects and produce deliverables for smaller projects.
  • Identify and implement solutions for a range of issues facing insurance companies.
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare and test hypotheses, and present recommendations to clients.
  • Play a proactive, leadership role in driving programs and engaging directly with senior client stakeholders.
  • Understand complex insurance issues and their potential impact on client businesses.
  • Engage with stakeholders to drive execution against project plans, anticipate issues, and provide structured solutions.
  • Create client deliverables by facilitating client interviews and workshops, performing analysis, synthesizing insights, and developing content with clear recommendations.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with clients and vendors by understanding stakeholder needs and establishing credibility.
  • Support Alpha FMC’s broader business evolution and business development activities, including co-authoring white papers and performing market research.
  • Contribute to the wider Alpha community through innovative and proactive contributions to business management or practice areas.
  • Maintain a broad understanding of challenges facing the Insurance Industry and knowledge of relevant issues and trends.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Risk Management, Business Analytics, Economics, Engineering, or related disciplines.
  • 2-4 years of experience, with at least 1 year of proven consulting experience at a recognized consulting firm or an equivalent in-house role.
  • Experience within financial services, preferably within the insurance industry.
  • Excellent consulting and problem-solving skills, familiarity with recognized project and consulting frameworks, and business process mapping.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex problems and solutions clearly and concisely.
  • Executive presentation skills.
  • Proven track record of building and sustaining lasting relationships with team members.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset to support business development activities and help grow the Insurance practice.
  • Appetite to support clients across practice areas.
  • Intellectual capacity to understand complex issues and develop creative solutions.
  • Ability to multi-task and engage in multiple initiatives concurrently.
  • Ability to travel to the United States.
  • Must currently possess a valid passport and all necessary documentation for entry into the United States at the time of hire.
