About the Role

Schneider Electric Canada is seeking a strategic and results-driven Key Account Manager to lead our most critical retail partnership, The Home Depot Canada. This role is responsible for driving profitable growth, expanding market share, and strengthening category leadership, particularly in high-growth segments such as EV charging, smart home, and energy management. As a trusted partner, you will lead joint business planning and bring forward innovative solutions that support connected, energy-efficient living for Canadian consumers. This is a high-visibility role with direct impact on Schneider Electric Canada’s growth strategy. The position is national in scope and reports to the Director, Retail Solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute the Joint Business Plan aligned to growth objectives
  • Develop and implement multi-year strategies to expand category presence and market share
  • Advise Home Depot leadership on category opportunities and consumer trends
  • Own revenue, profitability, and overall account performance
  • Deliver against sales targets, forecasts, and key performance indicators
  • Drive growth through product launches, assortment optimization, pricing, and omni-channel expansion
  • Build and maintain strong relationships across merchant, category, and executive levels
  • Lead business reviews with clear, insight-driven recommendations
  • Influence decision-making within a complex retail environment
  • Use data and insights to shape category strategies and identify growth opportunities
  • Translate key trends into actionable retail programs
  • Partner with marketing to execute effective in-store and digital initiatives
  • Align internal teams across marketing, supply chain, product management, finance, and customer care
  • Ensure consistent execution across all customer touchpoints
  • Oversee forecasting, inventory health, and demand planning inputs
  • Resolve issues proactively with a customer-first mindset
  • Improve processes to enhance efficiency and execution

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience working with a large national retail client (Home Depot or similar) as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager, or other equivalent role
  • Demonstrated success in owning and growing a multi-million dollar retail P&L
  • Strong track record of strategic planning, negotiation, and execution at scale
  • Ability to influence and present at senior executive levels (internal & external)
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience leveraging data to drive decisions
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to lead without direct authority
  • Ability to travel up 60% nationally and sometimes internationally
