About the Role

This technical role involves operating vehicles with proprietary technology for on-road testing. The Vehicle Operations Specialist will provide real-time feedback to engineering teams, ensuring the fleet's safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor vehicle software systems, upholding safe operational protocols and legal compliance.
  • Execute specific test cases and document system performance.
  • Provide concise verbal and written feedback on non-ideal vehicle behaviors and edge-case scenarios.
  • Perform pre-and-post-trip vehicle inspections, ensure sensor cleanliness, and report operational concerns.
  • Collaborate with Software and Hardware Engineers to troubleshoot identified issues.

Requirements

  • Pristine driving history with no major infractions in the last 5+ years.
  • No more than 1 violation point count on driving record.
  • Ability to navigate complex software interfaces.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware/connectivity issues.
  • High situational awareness and ability to remain hyper-focused for long durations in a repetitive environment.
  • Strong written English skills for technical reporting.
  • Clear verbal skills for real-time communications.
  • Comfort with a rapidly changing environment, including daily software build testing.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License for at least 5 years.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Must pass a rigorous background check and drug screen.
  • Ability to sit in a vehicle for up to 6-8 hours per day.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs (e.g., moving sensor calibration equipment).
  • Clear vision and hearing (with or without corrective wear/aids) to monitor environmental cues.

  • Equivalent experience in precision driving (Preferred).

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Preferred).

Salary/Compensations

  • $24-$30/hr based on prior experience
