About the Role

The Vice-Rectorate for Studies and Research (VRER) is seeking Associate Professors to teach courses in the Urban Environments Bachelor's program for the Fall 2026 semester. This role involves participating in pedagogical activities primarily within the Urban Environments Studies and Research Hub (PER). The Associate Professor will contribute to the UOF's vision for student experience, training, and research.

Responsibilities

Prepare and teach courses in accordance with the program's conceptual framework.
Grade assignments and provide continuous feedback to students.
Collaborate with the program coordinator, mentors, permanent faculty, and other members of the Urban Environments program team.
Actively participate in team meetings, including collaborative teams for content and practice harmonization, and co-creation sessions.
Adhere to faculty requirements, expected commitments, and institutional directives and policies.
Teach within UOF's various training programs as needed within the Urban Environments Bachelor's program, according to the terms of the contract.
Contribute to the functioning and reputation of UOF.
Perform any other related tasks required.

Requirements

Minimum academic qualification of a Master's degree (or equivalent).
Relevant experience for teaching in fields related to urban environments and the advertised course.
Proficiency in French and English.
Strong interest in multilingualism and multiculturalism.
Sensitivity to the needs of Ontario's Francophone minority.
An approach imbued with equity and inclusion.
