About the Role

The Global Partnerships team cultivates and manages strategic partnerships across the payments ecosystem, working with global players in tech, e-commerce, and financial services to create innovative solutions. The Global Fintech team specifically manages relationships with partners across the global fintech ecosystem, leveraging Mastercard's capabilities to solve real-world problems, create new product propositions, and ensure seamless, secure, and inclusive payments. This high-profile, customer-facing role involves owning global relationships with key Fintech partners, developing and executing mutually aligned strategies, driving Mastercard's go-to-market strategy, co-innovating new product propositions, driving revenue growth, developing business cases, leading RFP responses, and negotiating terms and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Own global relationships with Fintech partners in strategic focus areas for Mastercard
  • Manage customers such as Airwallex, Brex, Rho across various verticals including acquiring, issuing, and multi-rail/infrastructure providers
  • Build mutually aligned strategies and plans with partners
  • Execute strategies and plans by effectively leveraging the Mastercard organization
  • Execute Mastercard’s go-to-market strategy across a holistic suite of products and services
  • Co-innovate with partners to build new product propositions through close collaboration with Mastercard product development and innovation teams
  • Drive Mastercard revenue growth
  • Develop business cases including ROI analyses
  • Lead responses to RFPs
  • Lead negotiations with partners and internal stakeholders
  • Develop term sheets and contracts

Requirements

  • Self-starter/self-motivated
  • Prior experience in Account Management or Sales roles
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Ability to close deals
  • Ability to navigate through large organizations and influence without direct authority
  • Ability to communicate complex technical requirements to Product and Engineering teams
  • Possess a blend of analytical capability, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence
  • Able to dive deep on all areas of the business to deliver creative solutions to unstructured problems
  • Comfortable aptitude for onboarding complex business and technical knowledge to a level sufficient to engage in meaningful partner discussions and identify and drive solutions
  • Good communicator and influencer with strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, both drafting and presenting
  • Comfortable in a multi-tasking environment
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to support the business's strategic direction across regions
