About the Role
This role is responsible for maintaining the smooth and efficient operation of trading desks, providing operational support and expertise to traders, sales professionals, and other key stakeholders. The goal is to maximize productivity, minimize disruptions, handle administrative tasks, and provide market information and research.
Responsibilities
- Provide immediate and efficient technical support to traders and sales professionals, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Coordinate trade execution by liaising with traders, clients, and internal teams.
- Maintain and update trade records, transaction logs, and client databases accurately.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and documentation to support sales and trading activities.
- Monitor market data and assist in the analysis of financial information for trading decisions.
- Process trades, confirm orders, and resolve trade discrepancies.
- Advise and influence decision-making, contribute to policy development, and take responsibility for operational effectiveness.
- Collaborate closely with other functions and business divisions.
- Lead a team performing complex tasks, using professional knowledge and skills to deliver on work impacting the business function.
- Set objectives, coach employees, appraise performance, and determine reward outcomes.
- Lead collaborative assignments and guide team members through structured assignments.
- Identify the need for inclusion of other specializations to complete assignments.
- Identify new directions for assignments and/or projects, using cross-functional methodologies.
- Consult on complex issues and provide advice to People Leaders.
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls.
- Perform work closely related to other areas, understanding how areas coordinate to achieve organizational objectives.
- Collaborate with other work areas and business-aligned support areas.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems creatively.
- Communicate complex information, including sensitive or difficult-to-communicate content.

Requirements
- Fluent Japanese language skills.
- Business-level English language skills.
- Experience in Microsoft Office technologies, including Excel and VBA.
- Experience of Trade Capture or Middle office is preferred, especially on Rates Derivatives & Cash products.
- Experience of Project Management (e.g., system enhancement) is preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve issues related to deal bookings or system flows.
- Organized with superior attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Ability to time manage.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to work well and communicate directly with all levels of the organization.
