About the Role

As a Catering Assistant at RSL LifeCare, you will be empowered to make a meaningful difference in people's lives within a supportive work environment where your compassion is valued and your professional development is prioritized. You will work closely with the catering team and Head Chef to provide high-quality catering services, maintain a clean and professional kitchen, and serve residents with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

Work closely with the catering team and the Head Chef to provide high quality catering services for residents and their visitors
Comply with Food Safety Standards
Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional work environment; dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen, equipment and dining areas
Demonstrate a customer service mindset when interacting with residents, their families and visitors
Serve residents meals and snacks ensuring that the correct meals are served to residents with special dietary needs
Build strong and productive relationships with your team to deliver a positive dining experience

Requirements

Demonstrated compassion and empathy
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Teamwork skills
Ability to work efficiently and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
Australian Working Rights
A valid Police Check or a valid National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) check, or potentially both, must be verified prior to commencing employment.
