About the Role
Make-A-Wish Canada is seeking a Business Analyst, Fundraising Operations to be the technical engine of the Fundraising Operations team. This role is responsible for the health, financial integrity, and strategic utility of our fundraising systems, bringing the team's operational strategy to life through systems, automation, and analytics.
Responsibilities
- Act as primary point of contact for Business Applications, supporting the configuration and maintenance of Salesforce, iWave, DonorDrive, and related fundraising platforms.
- Participate in platform testing and projects to enhance technology.
- Support the development of the fundraising technology roadmaps to plan for tech enhancements.
- Oversee technical workflows and reconciliation processes between Salesforce and finance systems to maintain a single source of truth for gift processing and organizational reporting.
- Build, implement, and monitor automated business rules supporting prospect clearance workflows, donor pipelines, and moves management tracking in alignment with fundraising operations standards.
- Conduct routine data hygiene audits and maintain accurate, comprehensive donor and prospect records in Salesforce to support data governance standards and key performance indicators.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and predictive models to forecast revenue, donor retention, and upgrade likelihood, translating complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations for fundraising priorities and national revenue forecasting.
- Act as a primary point of contact for the fundraising team regarding Salesforce questions and design and deliver training programs on system updates and new processes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education in business, information systems, data analytics, or equivalent experience, training and education.
- 3-5 years’ experience in similar roles, with expertise demonstrated in Salesforce and nonprofit technologies.
- Experience with financial reconciliation processes and understanding of fundraising data integration with accounting reporting requirements.
- Experience building dashboards, predictive models and revenue forecasts, with advanced proficiency in Tableau or Power BI.
- Ability to manage technical workstreams, vendor relationships, licensing, and service escalations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and external partners.
- A clear Criminal Background Check is required.
