About the Role
Support Medline's Acute Care Respiratory Sales efforts within a select group of highly complex or major accounts of regional, national, or strategic significance. The ideal candidate is based in California, covering the West region (WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, MT, WY, UT, CO, AZ, NM, HI, AK).
Responsibilities
- Grow market share through sales plans, strategies, objectives, policies, and procedures.
- Provide exceptional customer support to retain business and increase profitability.
- Resolve problems and ensure high-quality customer service.
- Maintain personal contact with key customers in assigned accounts.
- Collaborate with sales personnel to launch new accounts and address at-risk accounts.
- Maintain existing sales programs.
- Partner with the Medline Field Sales team to promote Respiratory sales goals and initiatives.
- Facilitate formal and non-formal RFP processes.
- Develop and implement sales tools and programs, communicating activity and success.
- Manage account program costs (advertising, rebates, buyback, slotting allowance) while maximizing sales.
- Track customer sales performance against objectives and report results to management.
- Build and distribute reports on contracts, programs, and focus areas to appropriate partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business or clinical-related field.
- 5+ years of account management or sales experience within medical device, with a strong preference for Respiratory, Anesthesia, or other clinically specialized areas.
- Experience preparing business plans to align and support selling strategies.
- Experience developing and delivering technical presentations to various group sizes.
- Exposure to and use of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to travel up to 75% for business purposes (overnight, in-state, and out-of-state).
- Ability to work in office settings and medical facilities.
- Ability to work non-traditional hours during in-services.
