About the Role

We are seeking a communications expert to accelerate and transform Dyson’s reputation in Japan. You will lead agencies and cross-functional teams to adopt innovative PR strategies, leveraging your expertise in social media and influencer-led communications to tell inspiring stories that resonate with Japanese audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead earned communications activities from strategic planning to campaign execution.
  • Support commercial objectives and drive storytelling to enhance brand reputation.
  • Plan and implement the communications strategy for Japan to maximize exposure and impact.
  • Manage budgets effectively.
  • Maximize narratives to build desirability as a global technology company.
  • Grow share of voice and understanding of the Dyson difference.
  • Collaborate with global and regional communications leads and local commercial teams.
  • Drive engagement with media, influencers, KOLs, and third-party experts.
  • Establish strong brand credentials in Japan through earned media.
  • Create locally relevant event experiences and narratives.
  • Execute high-impact product launches.
  • Develop holistic quarterly and yearly communication plans.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of PR/Communications experience in an agency or in-house setting.
  • Expertise in Product PR and Brand PR within a fast-paced, agile industry.
  • Experience with digital media and social influencers.
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial, and agile mindset.
  • Ability to work collaboratively while asserting influence.
  • Strong organizational and hands-on execution skills.
