About the Role

Key Holders are responsible for providing customers with a unique shopping experience by utilizing the G.U.E.S.T. service approach. Key Holders are responsible for all Sales Associate responsibilities. Responsibilities also include providing the team with continuous coaching to improve sales and service, processing customer returns and exchanges, supervising the sales floor, and performing store opening/closing procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customers with a unique shopping experience using the G.U.E.S.T. service approach.
  • Fulfill all Sales Associate responsibilities.
  • Coach the team to improve sales and service.
  • Process customer returns and exchanges.
  • Supervise the sales floor.
  • Perform store opening and closing procedures.
  • Model the G.U.E.S.T. service approach and deliver World Class Service.
  • Greet customers warmly and enthusiastically.
  • Understand customer needs through open-ended questions.
  • Explain product features and benefits with in-depth product knowledge.
  • Suggest additional items using effective selling techniques.
  • Thank customers and invite them to return.
  • Act as a TPS Brand Ambassador.
  • Build customer loyalty through friendly, attentive, and respectful service.
  • Inspire and motivate the team daily with positive feedback and recognition programs.
  • Contribute to a positive work environment by modeling ethical behavior, fostering open communication, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Maintain professional presentation in attire, demeanor, and appearance, complying with company dress code.
  • Support all sales efforts and initiatives to maximize company sales.
  • Capture accurate customer information at the POS.
  • Maintain awareness of current promotions and process them correctly.
  • Make sound decisions in the best interest of the customer, store team, and business.
  • Train and coach associates on GUEST service behaviors and assigned tasks.
  • Participate in training and development using available resources.
  • Prepare incoming product for the sales floor following supervisor guidance.
  • Merchandise product according to company visual guidelines and standards.
  • Uphold store maintenance and cleanliness standards.
  • Perform ear piercings and provide a safe, sanitary experience in accordance with state, federal and CDC guidelines (at select locations, after comprehensive training).
  • Perform management functions including opening/closing the store, POS management, supervising the sales floor, and coordinating breaks.
  • Assist with other related tasks as directed within assigned time frames.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Previous experience and leadership work in specialty retail is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to multi-task while being attentive to customers.
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Office and POS Systems.
  • Ability to work well and be a leader in a team environment.
  • Ability to be mobile on a sales floor for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and mobilize medium to large items up to 50 lbs., while utilizing appropriate safety techniques.
