About the Role

This role is critical for managing Teal Health's supply chain, including manufacturing, delivery, and lab operations for the Teal Wand. It involves end-to-end accountability for vendor relationships, inventory, and scaling from early commercial volumes to nationwide demand. This hands-on position requires comfort with regulated medical device manufacturing and a passion for expanding women's healthcare access.

  • Select clinical lab partners; negotiate pricing and turnaround SLAs; collaborate with labs to implement automation for sample processing.
  • Maintain accurate bill-of-materials and real-time inventory visibility; establish safety stock and reorder policies; prevent stockouts and overstock.
  • Develop an operations dashboard for inventory, demand vs. supply, COGS trends, and vendor performance; proactively resolve issues.
  • Collaborate with Commercial/Growth on forecasts and translate them into manufacturing and lab capacity plans.
  • Utilize AI capabilities to enhance productivity, performance, and patient experience.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in operations, supply chain, or manufacturing.
  • Direct experience scaling a regulated medical device (FDA Class II or III) or comparable experience in diagnostics, pharma, or other quality-regulated industries.
  • Proven track record managing contract manufacturers (CMs), 3PLs, and shipping vendors against cost, quality, and timing targets.
  • Proven procurement and vendor negotiation skills; comfort with multi-year supply agreements.
  • Strong analytical skills, including BOM management, COGS analysis, and inventory math; eagerness to leverage AI tools for problem-solving.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate operational realities into clear updates for leadership and the team.

Skills

  • Experience with clinical lab operations or partnerships (CLIA labs, sample logistics, lab automation).
  • Familiarity with ISO 13485, FDA 21 CFR Part 820, and supplier quality processes.
  • Startup or early-stage experience, including building functions from the ground up.
