About the Role

Lucasfilm is seeking an experienced, collaborative team player for a 7-month temporary role. This position serves as the initial point of contact for Lucasfilm professionals, bridging Human Resources and Business Leaders to shape the employee experience, support talent career growth, and help leaders achieve goals. The role partners with and reports to the Director, HRBP, assisting various client groups within Lucasfilm. This is a Project Hire and a Hybrid role, requiring onsite work at a Company-designated location and occasional remote work.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the HRBP community and leadership to drive strategic initiatives for assigned client groups.
  • Provide consultative HR solutions to business priorities, anticipating and assessing needs.
  • Collaborate with clients on moderately complex HR processes, procedures, and initiatives, engaging COEs as needed.
  • Offer day-to-day performance management guidance to management, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Partner with Employee Relations COE for investigations, documentation, and employee coaching.
  • Advise on effective headcount/resource management and talent acquisition strategies.
  • Consult on organizational design, change management, and culture.
  • Influence clients on key talent processes: talent review, succession planning, leadership development, and talent assessment.
  • Create clear job descriptions with clients and recruitment to attract and retain talent.
  • Collaborate with Director-HRBP, Managers, and Employees to improve work relationships, morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Create presentations, org charts, and reports as requested.
  • Assist with employee communications, including design and input.
  • Partner with clients and HR Operations on Leave of Absence and work accommodation requests.
  • Participate in special projects at both HRBP team and client levels.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years human resources generalist experience in progressively responsible roles.
  • Experience assisting diverse functional groups, including executive-level employees.
  • Experience with organization development, employee relations, talent acquisition, learning & development, and compensation.
  • Working knowledge and application of federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience directly assisting clients in an HRBP capacity.
  • Experience in Media or Production environments.
